The Gabbro resource is located approximately 300kms North-West of the Queensland State capital, Brisbane. Most of the area is readily accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle on established internal roads,
The quarry has year-round road access. Blocks can be exported through either the Port of Brisbane [300 kilometers] or the Port of Gladstone [300 kilometers]. There is a rail line approximately 40km from the quarry, and road access is good. There is electricity supply, telephone, satellite link and water available at the quarry.
Exploration drilling proved the existence of a substantial black green/black granite (gabbro) resource. Mineral Lease was subsequently granted on 1 September 1998 and the current expiry date is 31/08/2028. An Extraction licence application has been granted.
